Even the South Pole is warming, and quickly, scientists say

NEW YORK (NYTIMES) - The South Pole, the most isolated part of the planet, is also one of the most rapidly warming ones, scientists said Monday (June 28), with surface air temperatures rising since the 1990s at a rate that is three times faster than the global average.
